This is a great course for anyone who owns or is looking to purchase a shotgun. This course is for beginners and shotgun shooters who want to become a better shotgun shooter.
You do not have to have a shotgun to take this course (but if you have a shotgun please bring it, along with your shells).
You will be introduced to the range of different shotgun firearms; a review of basic shotgun shells; chokes; and different shooting patterns. Also, basic shooting fundamentals and principles of shooting moving targets.
There will be a review of the proper technique for loading, unloading, and changing loads in your shotgun. Which choke to choose, the proper sight picture, proper stance, trigger actuation, movement and other fundamentals will be reviewed. Maintenance and cleaning of a shotgun will be reviewed.
The course includes classroom, demonstrations, exercises, range time and an opportunity to fire shotguns at sporting clays.
After this course you will have the foundation, ability, confidence, and basic knowledge to start or continue enjoying shooting a shotgun
Course description: one day course, starting at 9:30 am; bring eye and ear protection; and if you have a shotgun, bring your shotgun; and ammo (7.5 or smaller; 50 shells)
